BLA Products are fully compliant with C.E Marking before the deadline
The Construction Products Regulation (CPR) came into force on 24th April 2011 and will completely replace the Construction Products Directive (CPD) on 1st July 2013.
Under the CPR, lime products covered under the harmonised EU standard BS EN 459-1 ‘Building Limes’ need to be C.E marked. These products include calcium silicate bricks, lime for soil stabilisation and lime for masonry, plastering and rendering.
BLA members are pleased to report that all the relevant lime products are C.E marked and fully compliant with the CPR before the deadline of 1st July 2013.
Notes to Editors
The BLA is a constituent body of the Mineral Products Association (MPA), which is the trade association for the aggregates, asphalt, cement, concrete, lime, mortar and silica sand industries. The BLA represents the interests of three member companies, responsible for producing 75% of the lime sold in the UK. The BLA members are Lhoist UK, Singleton Birch Ltd and Tarmac.
