BLA Sponsoring the Guild of Bricklayers Competition 2016
The BLA are joining forces with the Mortar Industry Association to co-sponser the annual Guild of Bricklayers Competition for 2016.
The first regional heat of the Guild of Bricklayers 2016 national apprentices’ competition took place at Burton and South Derbyshire College’s Construction Academy on 14 March.
Nineteen students from 10 colleges competed in junior and senior categories and were given up to six hours to construct a brickwork model from drawings supplied. The work was marked by industry judges and winning competitors will compete in the national finals to be held in Devon in June.
