International Lime Association (ILA) General Assembly held in the UK
The ILA General Assembly took place from 26th-28th September 2012 in London. The three day event consisted of an interesting and relevant programme, which included ILA committee meetings on chemicals policy and climate change, a General Assembly and an Information Exchange Forum on lime use for Flue Gas Treatment (FGT). There was also a site visit to the SELCHP Energy from Waste plant in London, which makes use of lime for FGT.
The BLA hosted a Gala Dinner, which was attended by over 100 guests from across the world, including Europe, USA, South Africa, Malaysia, Mexico and Thailand. The BLA was delighted to host this successful event, which brought together the global lime community.
